[Q] TrueCrypt port for WinCE / WinMo ?
Can anyone create a TrueCrypt port for WinCE / WinMo ? I believe this really would make sense, this because most mobile devices today have ample internal / external storage space where such a TrueCrypt drive could be created.

Lets make a thread to Show Microsoft we want a Windows Mobile 7 Phone, which operates in Windowed mode, like Windows mobile 6, and comes with a Microsoft-made or HTC-made custom phone specifically for the Windows Moblie 7 Platform

CDMA Workshop/QPST on Windows Mobile
I've been experimenting with QPST and CDMA Workshop lately and I wanted to make a connection to my HTC Imagio (AKA Whitestone). It's a windows mobile phone.
Most tutorials here are for android phones. I'm reading about HTC Diag drivers but the command to enter into diagnostics mode obviously doesn't work on winmo.
I'm getting a lot of android noise during my searching so I figured it would be best to ask here as some of you guys might remember.
Can you point me to some tutorial or docs to make this work on winmo?
It would be much appreciated.

[Q] Hack battery indicator
Hi guys,
I have an old WinMo phone (HTC Gene) and about a year ago it stopped working due a problem in the battery indicator. The problem is in the main board and there's no way to fix it, beside replace the entirely board.
I just realized that the OS (or the battery driver, I don't know exactly) is reporting about 0.5v less than the real battery voltage. It means that, when the battery is full (4.2v) Windows thinks the battery is just a half charged (3.7v). It turns off when the battery is still at ~3.85v, reporting "0% - 3.35v"
There must be a way to, via-software, pass a false voltage reading to OS, with plus that 0.5v.
Or, maybe, a way to just stick the battery meter at any percentage, which will make the phone turn off when the battery PCB automatically cuts the current when at a very low voltage.
Anyone knows a way to force a false battery state? Or just point me a way to search more.. registry keys, dll's, the Windows process that retains the battery state, anything.
Any help would be appreciated.

[APP] iDaft clone for Windows CE landscape oriented devices
iDaftCE - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger ...
This is a project I startet just for fun. Probably without any use for people older than 5 yrs.
It's simply a clone of freeware iDaft, the Daft Punk console for iPhones, ready to be used with Windows (Embedded) CE touchscreen devices
with ARM processor and landscape orientation.
I know that also an iDaft version for Windows Mobile exists, but this doesn't show properly on landscape oriented units.

Hi Experts,
I have got a strange behaviour and would like to know the reason.
When playing streaming Radio, TCMP stops playing streaming media pretty exactly after 6 minutes and 00seconds.
Sometimes it even stops earlier but never later...
That behaviour is independent of the network source: 2G, 3G or WLAN.
It looks like a timeout in networking, but where can that be set?
Any help would be appreciated.

[ROM] [HP iPAQ 91x] [ESP, FRA, ITA, DEU, POR, PLK, CHS] WM6.5.3 Build 28011
Hello all,
I have received a lot of petitions to re-upload the links to the language ROMs I made originally for the iPaq 914 I made some years ago.
As some of you may know, I lost the original work when Megaupload was closed. But now I've finally found my backups, so I have rebuilt the ROMs to its original state. I also have the kitchens, so if anybody wants to continue with the work, I can give them after a request by PM.
Thank you all for your support along the time. I hope all of you who needed the files finally enjoy them.

In this thread I'd like to introduce you to the different languages ROM translations for the Ipaq 91x devices ;)
I did it first for the Spanish one. The developing of this ROM is into this thread. There, with some ppl help, I made successive tries until I got a very well translated ROM. So this one is a final version, and to take care of your suggestions, I appreciate you to go to the thread mentioned before.
The second attempt has been the French one. Mrpro1 asked me to do it and I accepted. It is based on the Spanish one, and after a while I can say that almost everything works perfectly. There are some issues with the translation of the keyboard, but nothing serious.
The rest of the versions are divided in two types: The normal ROMs and the Unicode symbol ones. I mean, for example the Chinese and the Polish ones have to have some symbols that doesn't appear in ASCII code. So the initflashfiles.dat is SO WEIRD (rows of numbers and letters separated by slashes) to work with that its possible that there are still some bugs. I worked recently over the polish one so please, write some feedback to know if everything works well. If not, post what does not work and I'll see if can be corrected or not.
There are two things that never worked and is not expected to do it anymore, but they are very easy to correct at first startup: The app button config is on Configuration -> Personal -> Buttons, and the USB connection to the PC is activated on Configuration -> Conections -> USB to PC

De los links de abajo consigues un archivo .zip. Lo descomprimes y tienes el .dio. Éste se mete en una tarjeta de menos de 2 gigas (si no no funciona, porque no puede ser sdhc) y ponemos el telefono en modo sdloader con la tarjeta dentro. Para ello hay que pulsar Vol+ y tecla Ok lateral y apretar reset sin dejar de soltar las otras dos teclas. Luego, el chisme hace una serie de cosas y acaba haciendo un clean reboot. Después de todo el proceso, aparece una pantallita azul y unas instrucciones que si se siguen, llevan a la pantalla de inicio de WM6.5 :)

What you get from my links is a .zip file. Decompress it and you have the .dio file. Put this file into a less than 2 gb sd (sdhc won't work) and put your device in sdloader mode. This happens pressing together volumeup + ok and pressing reset releasing the two vol and ok buttons. After doing this, the device checks the file integrity, flash to your device rom and do a clean reboot. When is finished, it ahould autoreset, but if not, it will show a black screen for a long time. Is then when it has finished, so then make a reset and your device will have installed the WM6.5!! Folow the instructions and that's all :)

Después de hacer una actualización desde una mala Sd o un archivo .DIO corrupto, hay una manera de volver a la normalidad. Se necesita:
DNW (archivo Include Driver) http://www.mediafire.com/?zmnmzmwnjtk
El archivo FLASH.DIO con el que se quiera resolver (preferiblemente el de Hp original; entrar AQUÍ, bajar la actualización de la ROM de unos 60Mg, descomprimir con WinZip el archivo .exe y renombrar el FLASH.NBF)
A continuación:
- Abrir el DNW.exe, [Configuration] => [Option], cambiar [Download Address] desde 0xc000000 a 0x3000000
- Renombrar FLASH.DIO (ó .NBF) a FLASH.nb0
- Poner el chisme en download mode: VOL.UP + OK + Reset
- Enchufa el teléfono al ordenador y selecciona manualmente el driver a instalar (los archivos están en la carpeta SEC)
- Volver a DNW.exe y [USB Port] => [UBOOT] => [UBOOT] y seleccionar Flash.nb0

After doing a ROM updrage from a bad miniSD card or .DIO file, there is a way to bring it back. You need:
DNW (Include Driver file) http://www.mediafire.com/?zmnmzmwnjtk
Your device's Flash.DIO file (preferably the Hp original one; go HERE, download your ~60Mb actualization file, unzip the exe file and rename the FLASH.NBF)
How to:
- Open DNW.exe, [Configuration] => [Option], change [Download Address] from 0xc000000 to 0x3000000
- Rename FLASH.DIO (ó .NBF) to FLASH.nb0
- Bring your Device into download mode: VOL.UP + OK + Reset
- Plug your device in the PC, and manually select driver to install (files are in SEC folder)
- Back to DNW.exe and [USB Port] => [UBOOT] => [UBOOT] and select Flash.nb0

El archivo FLASH.DIO con el que se quiera resolver (preferiblemente el de Hp original; entrar AQUÍ, bajar la actualización de la ROM de unos 60Mg, descomprimir con WinZip el archivo .exe y renombrar el FLASH.NBF)
A continuación:
- Abrir el DNW.exe, [Configuration] => [Option], cambiar [Download Address] desde 0xc000000 a 0x3000000
- Renombrar FLASH.DIO (ó .NBF) a FLASH.nb0
- Poner el chisme en download mode: VOL.UP + OK + Reset
- Enchufa el teléfono al ordenador y selecciona manualmente el driver a instalar (los archivos están en la carpeta SEC)
- Volver a DNW.exe y [USB Port] => [UBOOT] => [UBOOT] y seleccionar Flash.nb0

After doing a ROM updrage from a bad miniSD card or .DIO file, there is a way to bring it back. You need:
DNW (Include Driver file) http://www.mediafire.com/?zmnmzmwnjtk
Your device's Flash.DIO file (preferably the Hp original one; go HERE, download your ~60Mb actualization file, unzip the exe file and rename the FLASH.NBF)
How to:
- Open DNW.exe, [Configuration] => [Option], change [Download Address] from 0xc000000 to 0x3000000
- Rename FLASH.DIO (ó .NBF) to FLASH.nb0
- Bring your Device into download mode: VOL.UP + OK + Reset
- Plug your device in the PC, and manually select driver to install (files are in SEC folder)

[Q] WINCE 6.0 rom modifying on non-PDA
I do have a device Microsoft VoIP phone (Tanjay - CX700 manfactured by Polycom) which is powered by Microsoft Windows CE (mostly ver 6.0)
microsoft releases it's firmware update file as cab file while contain two files
CPE.NBT (the bin file XPRS compressed) 17MB

i have managed to extract the files of the ROM using bincompress.exe to decompress bin XPRS bin file (CPE.NBT) then i used dumprom.exe whiched works and could manage to extract all OS & application files, i just need to replace a font file then compile back again to BIN
i have three questions here:
1.is there any way to compile the package again or replace the font file without extract the orginal package ?
2.is there any way to get access to the Device windows CE as the default application starts after booting prevent any access to the windows CE desktop or any other wince tools ?
3. is there any way so i can build a package with the replacement font file and give to the device as firmare update file ?

How to Rotate the Screen? Apps, Registry, HTCsensorsdk.dll?
I have a Windows Mobile smartphone with WVGA resolution 800x480 Landscape.
It's a Toshiba, I want to pass from Landscape to Potrait.
Normally the creen can not be rotated. But I think it's possible because all Windows Mobile devices can do this.
I downloaded a lot of application (RotateScreen, RotateMe, Gyrator2, GSen...and also others apps)... but the screen doesn't rotate :crying:
I have always received error messages like:
---Error in the program...
---Unable to find HTCSensorSDK.dll...Where can I download this dll? I think that these apps don't work because they use accelerometer and my smartphone doesn't have it.
I have also tryed to modify the registry with Memmaid (...Gdi/Rotation/HideOrientation...) I changed values but the registry seems locked...
I changed the value from 1 to 0 , but the value return to 1...:rolleyes:

JVC KW-NT3HDT half bricked
Today i flashed a modified NT500HDT software update for my JVC NT3hdt navi system, the unit gives a "update error" on a black screen, i cant access anything except using the source button on the lift side to browse for input signal...
Any input on how to access they system by using the sd card? i couldnt find anything online that could help, and not sure if jtag will help as i dont see any software to use with it...
the system is a "locked" wince

Touchscreen problem on a Nowada unit

I tell you my problem, acualize the map, I put the SD card into the slot, and did not read, always showed two folders \ nanflash and \ Storagecard and gave me access to Storagecard, to change the name of the executable, now only showed the first, the boot only option was NWDSoftware.exe found a firmware which referred to NWDSoftware.exe and menu showing myself, I did not want to update.
The problem did not read was that it had been in the slot, a role that blocked the entrance and did not read it, and read papael retirement, when reading, by mistake, I sysupdate screen appears, put exit, and did not want to update, then gives an error of calibration, removal SD card and now only starts with NWDSoftware.exe and touch is locked.
If I put the original navigation software renaming the ejetucable to NWDSoftware.exe, it works, when it starts showing a blue screen and on, the menu is off the screen, and continues to do nothing, not walk the touch screen.
As seen in the video.
I can only put mortscripts execute these command and if reset, but still all the same.

[Q] Change icons and create shortcut on WM
Using my Windows Mobile device,I ve learned how to create shortcuts in Programs
and Now I have anything I want in Programs but I don't like some icons :
---How can I change program's icons? (for example camera icon)
---How can I change folder's icons? (for example Office folder is different from other folder)
---How can I change standard folder's icons?
---How can I insert shortcut in Settings? (Personal,System,Connections?)
I have searched on Internet but I haven't found anything...
